Finished Reading
Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan MillMan: Amazon, Goodreads

When I picked up this book, I knew it was one of those books which I had to take my time with. So throughout May, my attention was solely focused on reading this book slowly.
Millman takes you on a journey of self discovery. Struggling with his own identity and suffering from an repeatable nightmare, he is thrown into a lifetime friendship with the a gas attendant, who he calls “Socrates”. Millman gives him this name, as the gentleman does not have one.
The book is a journey of what happens to Millman as he conquers his fears, deepens his knowledge of the world around him and becomes a peaceful warrior.
The book does not disappoint and teaches lessons which will make you question your perception of your world and life. It has cause me to think much deeper about who Socrates really was and if we can all become peaceful warriors.
The review for this book was short, due to a good reason. This is a life changing story with lessons that will stay with you a lifetime. I may have written a few words about it here, but it goes much deeper. This book is one that will teach you new things the more times you read it.
I will definitely be returning to this book again in the year.

As you all know, reading books are not high on my agenda at the moment due to other commitments. So next month may be looking pretty slim!
Do drop me a comment and let me know what you are doing this month! Are you starting new challenge? Or have you finished one?
It would be great to hear from you!
