She sighed as she put the blanket up to her nose and took a deep breath. Although the baby smell had faded a long time ago, the memory that day brought instilled a distant familiar scent, deep within her. The door opened and she quickly stuffed the blanket under the bed covers. ” Are you ok?”, mum stood there, either ignorant of what her daughter was doing, or completely oblivious to what she was hiding. “Yeah, I’m fine mum”, and there he was, peeking out from behind her mother’s leg, her child.
